Writing with Grief

With the ongoing impacts of the pandemic, as well as the many other losses we may encounter in life, grief and loss will touch us ALL at some point. However, it’s not often that we make time to sit with our grief, explore it creatively and reflect on it with others.

This workshop is for you if you're currently grieving a loss including, but not limited to:

  • loss of a family member, friend, and/or pet

  • loss of identity or a future self

  • loss of health or ability

  • loss of a job, relationship, home, or land

  • loss of freedoms and/or normality due to the pandemic

In this workshop, you will:

  • Explore grief through guided writing prompts

  • Connect with others who are grieving

  • Have your grief acknowledged and validated

  • Gain new insights around your experiences with grief

  • Have your grief acknowledged and validated

  • Increase your self-awareness

People of all writing levels are welcome, no experience necessary.

This workshop is hosted by The Grief Cocoon and the Centre for Building Better Community.

If you have any questions or would like to know more, please email Gabriela at thegriefcocoon@gmail.com or go to Eventbrite.
